1. What You Need
1x or more License Plate Cameras (PoE)
1x Mini-PC for Image Processing
1x Gate Smart Controller
Power & network access
Your gate’s control board

2. Step-by-Step Installation
2.1. Mount the Cameras
 - Mount each camera 1–3 meters high
 - Ideal distance from vehicle: 3–7 meters
 - Angle toward vehicles approaching the gate
 - Cameras must see plates clearly
 - Do not mount at extreme angles
 - If using 2 cameras (e.g. IN + OUT), mount one on each side
 - For wide gates: use 2 cameras on the same side

Connection:
 - Use PoE cable for both power and internet
 - Assign each camera a fixed IP address
 - Write down the IPs – we will need them to configure the system

2.2. Install the Mini-PC (Image Processor)
 - Place the Mini-PC anywhere on the same local network as the cameras – Typically installed in a server rack or equipment room

Connect it to:
 - Power adapter
 - Ethernet (same network as cameras)
 - The Mini-PC comes with pre-installed software.
 - Once connected, we’ll remotely configure everything in ~60 minutes.

2.3. Connect the Gate Controller
 - Mount the gate controller near the gate motor (usually in a waterproof box)

Connect the 2 switch wires to your gate control board:
 - Point 1 → NO (Normally Open)
 - Point 2 → COM (Common Ground)
 - Use any standard 0.2mm or thicker wire

2.4. Power the Gate Controller
Choose one of 3 power options:
a) Micro USB Power
– Plug into a nearby socket
– International adapters included
b) 110–240V Mains Hardwire Kit
– Connect directly to the gate’s power supply
c) PoE Splitter
– Use one Cat5/6 cable for both internet and power

2.5. Connect the Gate Controller to the Internet
You can connect using:
Ethernet (preferred, built-in)
WiFi (10m standard, 35m with external antenna)
4G Gateway (SIM-based, install in same enclosure)
Starlink (ordered separately)

3. Network Requirements
 - Cameras and Mini-PC must be on the same local network
 - No internet needed for camera ↔ Mini-PC communication

Internet is needed for:

 - Initial remote setup
 - Cloud dashboard access
 - Remote support and software updates

4. After Everything is Connected
Once cameras, Mini-PC, and gate controller are powered and connected:
 - Send us the camera IPs and gate controller info
 - We will remotely configure and test the full system

You’ll be ready to go in under an hour

5. Common Mistakes to Avoid
 - Cameras too high or too far
 - Glare at night blocking plates
 - No stable mount
 - Mini-PC not on the same network
